My favorite quote is, “I am passionately curious,” by Albert Einstein. This idea guides my career and shapes my approach to design, construction, and technology. My name is Fjolla (/fiˈoʊlə/), and I am passionately curious about creating innovative and functional spaces that enhance the human experience.
My story begins after moving to Kosovo during the war in the late 1990s. I saw my grandmother’s house burn down, stripping her of all sense of security and belonging. The emotional toll and physical destruction of this event helped me to understand the importance of spaces and the impact they have on people. In that moment, I knew that my purpose would be to capture the essence of spaces for people everywhere.
Currently, I serve as a Senior Construction Manager at Amazon, where I lead the planning, execution, and ground-up development of large-scale delivery stations. Building on my prior expertise in co-working and office developments, I have expanded my focus to include complex logistics spaces and innovative workplace environments.
My contributions have resulted in significant cost savings, improved operational efficiency, and faster project delivery timelines. Leveraging technology such as BIM for virtual walkthroughs, I have successfully delivered over 3 million square feet of projects, saving millions of dollars and reducing construction timelines by up to 22 weeks.
At Amazon, I work closely with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee the end-to-end execution of diverse projects. From optimizing delivery station capacities to designing transformative co-working spaces, I am committed to creating environments that are efficient, functional, and impactful.
I also consult on the design & build of retail, residential, and co-working spaces. If you are looking to enhance your space, please contact me.
